Jeweltone and Teal scarf

The Red Heart Soft Jeweltone came in today and I got right to work assembling and edging the teal scarf.

The squares for this scarf were made by Fran Metallo. The finished scarf will go to Threads of Compassion, which provides comfort to victims of sexual violence.

I'm very pleased with the way this scarf turned out. Fran did a marvelous job on the squares using the pattern by Susan Smith called Filet Granny Square. She left a really long tail which made it so very easy to whipstitch the squares together.

The Jeweltone brings a bit of extra color to the solid teal. I used Red Heart multicolor coordinate list (a free pdf file) to find the yarn.

The picture really doesn't do this justice, but I hope you can get an idea of how it looks. The Jeweltone yarn is very elegant in my opinion.

Finished size with fringe is about 6" x 65".

Happy crocheting!
