scrap afghan and scarf

I finished the V stitch scarf. It is about 7" x 69". I used an I hook. The yarn is Vanna's Choice toffee and I Love This Yarn light taupe.

I also began an afghan which is a bit different. I'm not sure if I like it or not.  It is a scrap afghan that I thought I'd do to use up the larger balls of yarn. However, not being sure how far each would go I decided to go halfway with one yarn and then switch to a new yarn. That way if I had enough to go back again, it would be fine and if I didn't, I could stop at that point and use the remainder for yo-yos. Some balls go further than others of course, but the colors are all over the map. I couldn't get the whole thing in a picture but this is what it looks like thus far. It is straight dc.

I chained 152 and am working 75 across then switching, so I always have two balls going. It is about 52" across.

I like the idea of it, but it might do better with a plan of coordinated colors.

I'm rather committed at the moment and it WILL be warm. We'll see how it progresses. It might end up being a lapghan or a shawl or something. :-)

The scrap idea might have done better in a scarf perhaps. Hindsight. Always 20-20. LOL

Happy crocheting!
