I can't believe it's been a week since I updated! I surely haven't stopped crocheting. Heh
Here is what I've been up to.
First I went through all my lonely skeins and decided to make squares out of them. I used daughter's
cross-stitch square for all of them. It is my current favorite pattern. What I have not yet decided is what to do with said squares. LOL
Here are the bulky yarns. The off white sort of color, possibly fisherman, is Lion Brand Jiffy brushed acrylic yarn. I am not sure what the others are. Most likely they are skeins I picked up on one of my trips to Michael's or Hobby Lobby. All acrylic.
I used my Corian L hook (my favorite one) for these. And yes, I dropped it AGAIN and my husband fixed it AGAIN. I am so blessed.
These pink and blues are, I think, Bernat Softee Chunky. Don't hold me to that. I'm not absolutely positive, but I do have almost 2 skeins it looks like, in white to go with these. I see afghans in their future.
These are two dish/washcloths made with ... argh I thought I had the label here, but alas it has run off. Anyway, it is whatever they sell at Walmart because that is a recent purchase from there. :-)
I used that same cotton yarn to make filet Dalek dishcloths. Can you see the Daleks? I used part of a pattern
at Ravelry called Exterminate by Elizabeth Harac. I took out just the Dalek portion.
I also found this nice variegated yarn with a complementary beige color so I made some squares out of it. The leftover bits will go to yo-yos for my daughter's project.
I also made one other thing which I can't show yet as the recipient has not received it and I made a small afghan which has already been sent off without a photo.
I have a bunch of completed small items in my bin which I need to sort through and send out somewhere.
I am slowing down on my filet phase, although having said that I am in the midst of a large project - making a filet TARDIS. LOL I'm about a quarter done on it I think. It took forever to chart. I wanted to include the words Police Box and I also wanted it not to have any sticky out edges but rather be rectangular with smooth edges. It will be all blue with the open/closed blocks making up the pattern I think, although you never know what I might decide as I get more into it. It will definitely not be as time consuming (and tail hanging) as the previous TARDIS I made.
Hope you all have been keeping your fingers busy as well.
Happy crocheting!
