I'm back! Hubby and I have been on vacation in Florida, a vacation which was delayed a week by Tropical Storm Lee.
Here's what I did just before I left and while I was away.
The Red Heart Soft really red did not come in before I left, but I did get those two navy skeins so I finished two center V stitch sections in that color and planned to use the red when I returned to finish them. That is exactly what happened.
The first scarf has 6 V's across and is edged with a round of sc in blue followed by a round of (sc, ch 2, 2 dc, sk 2) in red. Finished size is about 6" x 58". First time I measured it I was sure it was 59, but when I measured it just now it was 58. Maybe I should measure it a third time? LOL In any case it's over 54" which is the minimum.
This scarf has 5 V's across. I did a round in sc in the red, then a round of V stitch in blue, and finished off with a round of sc in red. I really liked the way it came out.I added fringe to this one as it was a little short. The rules specify 54 to 60" including fringe.
I also have about 3/4 of a third scarf using Red Heart Super Saver cherry red which will be edged with the soft navy.
I hope to do three more to make my goal.
I'm still catching up on the hundreds of e-mails that came in while I was gone. I did check some e-mails while I was gone using my phone. Our hotel did not have wireless Internet if you can believe that.
That's all for now.
Happy crocheting!
Sandie
Beautiful! I always love how the crocheted V-stitch looks.
ReplyDeleteI love the look of it and the colors.

ReplyDeleteThanks! I enjoy the V stitch also. It goes so quickly and in our climate we don't need a heavy, close knit scarf.
