Fibonacci scarf

For this scarf, I used the Fibonacci numbers. I made another scarf back in October using the same pattern but starting with Blue.

If you are interested in the Fibonacci (and Lucas) numbers you can find more info at Crochet Cabana and other places on the Internet. Briefly, the premise is that you start with 0 and 1. 0 + 1 = 1, so your first numbers are 0, 1, 1. You add the last 2 numbers. 1 + 1 = 2. So now your list is 0, 1, 1, 2. Add the last 2 numbers. 2 + 1 = 3. Your new numbers are 0, 1, 1, 2, 3. Continue in that fashion as long as you want to.

For purposes of a scarf you probably won't go further than I did, which was 21.




If you are working the Lucas numbers, it is the same premise but you begin with the number 2. Depending on how long you want your scarf, you would stop at 18 or 29.


The first Fibonacci numbers are: 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144


The first Lucas numbers are: 2, 1, 3, 4, 7, 11, 18, 29, 47, 76, 123


I also completed two other scarves I don't think I showed you yet.





These two used the Quick Scarf pattern. I will post it here later. It is better worked with one color I think, but they came out okay.

I hope to make one more scarf for this effort if I can get it done before the deadline for mailing, which is Friday. If you are able to deliver, you can make scarves after that as long as they are delivered on time.
