Basix Mosaic

Yarn: Premier Basix Mosaic Grapevine, 2 skeins

Hooks: I and H hooks by Laurie Whitaker

Size: 7 1/2" x 61 1/2"

Pattern: foundation dc 22, 113 rows of dc with a round of sc for a border

I used the stacked dc for this one. It is supposed to make the edges straight but I didn't find that to be so. I decided it needed a border. I had enough yarn left on the second skein so I was able to do it in the same yarn.

Zebra and black scarf

I was working on two scarves at the same time and I managed to actually finish both. I knew I wouldn't have enough of the Mosaic Zebra so I planned to add some I Love This Yarn black which would coordinate. The trick here is that since I didn't know how far the Zebra would go I worked it until I ran out then I added the rows of black. THEN I turned it around and added the same number of rows of black on the other end. Voila!

Finished size is 7" x 68 1/2".

Pattern: foundation dc 20, work 15 rows of the black on each end, the rest is Zebra (I think it was 92 or 94 rows). I added a single crochet border in black to pull it all together.

Hooks: I (for the body) and H (for the border - 2 sc around each dc)

Happy crocheting!

Agave bulky scarf

This #5 bulky scarf was made with an L/8.0m sonic screwdriver hook. Ther yarn is Two of Wands Hue + Me in the color Agave. I used almost 2 skeins. It is 80% acrylic and 20% wool. and was made in India. It's machine washable and dryable.

The pattern starts with a foundation dc of 15, then dc across for 90 rows.

Finished size is 6 1/2" x 62".

I like the color of this yarn. I think I could have even gone up another hook size to give it more drape. The label recommended a K and I think that would have made it too stiff.

Happy crocheting!
