I'm so close to the finish that I can feel it. :-) Here is the afghan through the end of October. I'm done with the red and happily now including the marina, canary, and grass.
I didn't measure it this time.
Now that I've got my groove with this one, I don't think doing another in this same pattern would be too bad. Will have to give it more thought.
It looks like I can get about 25 rows with one skein of Knit Picks Brava sport (273 yards, 100 grams or 3 1/2 ounces), using the seed stitch pattern and the width that I have. Of course if you're making your own and choose a different foundation chain or different yarn the amount needed would be different. I found it amusing that they use yards and grams as the two measurements. I would have thought either meters and grams or yards and ounces. Yes, it's the little things. heh
I finished the 2 skeins of paprika with just a few yards left. :-)
Happy crocheting!

2013 temperature afghan through September
Progress report.
Rough measurement is now at 51". I had to move to the big sofa for this one. :-) You can see that in May the reds begin and they haven't stopped yet in September. By the end of October we'll start having a bit of green. It will be close with the paprika. I hope I don't have to stop working to wait for another skein.

2013 temperature afghan through August
Here's the temperature afghan, worked through the end of August. It is pictured on a love seat. The really loose measurement is about 44". I measured a couple of the areas between months and it appears each month is about 6 1/4". We'll see how everything works out in the end but it's interesting to see the progress and how it all comes together. Even with all my thought and pre-planning things may not be what I thought it would be but thus far I'm pleased with everything except that first row.
As you can see I fell down on sewing the ends in as I finish each month. :-)

temperature afghan through July
Oops. I thought I had posted this one but apparently I didn't. Here is the ghan through the end of July. I'm now halfway through August. As you can see July was mostly red. August will be the same. Red is temps in the 90s.
Happy crocheting!
