Fran scarf

Yesterday I assembled and edged the squares that have been sent to me over the past months by my friend Fran, who is homebound. Her squares are always beautifully done!

Because Fran is a victim of sexual assault, she wanted the edging to be in teal which is the awareness ribbon color for rape. I was happy to oblige and picked up the yarn this past weekend in my Hobby Lobby haul.

Here is the finished scarf. It came out approx 6 1/2" x 68", a really nice size that can wrap around and keep you warm. The scarf will go to another rape victim in her area.

The square pattern used is the cross-stitch pattern by my daughter (Kate Smith) which can be found at Crochet Cabana here.

Happy crocheting!

  1. I am so happy to see Fran sending you these squares. It is so beneficial for her to be able to do this with you. Thank you again for introducing the two of us.
